Is Your POS Transaction Speed Fast Enough?

Speed of service is necessary for businesses. This is true in every area, especially transaction speed. From production to delivery to answering customer questions, time is money. Speed is just as important with POS systems as in any other place. Watch the video below as Tim explains the critical importance of fast transaction speeds with your POS system.

We have all been in a situation where we have had to wait for ages to complete a transaction at a restaurant or retail establishment. The system slows down orders, which makes everyone wait. It’s not simply annoying at the time of the transaction. Something as simple as having to wait a few extra minutes is a frustration we remember. This can determine whether or not customers return.

The opportunity cost of a slow system is one that is difficult to calculate. Generally, opportunity cost is the cost of what you could have earned vs. what you have earned. However, if you settle for a slow POS system that offers poor transaction time, you may not have calculations that can be compared with one another. In that instance, you may need to physically track the number of customers who don’t return to your place of business, or simply leave without making a purchase.

The Need for Speedy POS Transactions

There are plenty of real-world examples that can be used to back up the need for speedy transactions. The first and most obvious is brick-and-mortar vs. online stores. Customers are accustomed to quick checkouts when shopping online. Though shopping cart abandonment is a real issue in the e-tail world, it hasn’t been that common in brick-and-mortar stores until recently. More and more retailers are finding customers willing to walk out without making purchases simply because time isn’t on their side.

Another issue with slow transactions is the speed with which your employees can help all customers. When customer service falters, you lose those customers. You could lose countless customers through no fault of your own simply because your POS system can’t keep up with the need.

Bepoz makes speed our number one priority. We will not add functions to the system that may, on the surface, look like improvements when in reality they bog down the speed. With Bepoz, you know you are always getting the fastest functioning transactions possible.

Call Bepoz today and we will talk with you about all of the features we offer and how we can do so without sacrificing speed.

Hey, this is Tim with Bepoz Enterprise Point-of-Sale Systems. And for this video, I’m going to talk about the speed of transactions, and the speed of many different things, but speed of transactions primarily. If you’re going to have an Enterprise Point-of-Sale system, whether it’s for food and beverage, restaurants, bars, or if it’s a retail operation, and you have that kind of thing – the speed of the transaction is a primary importance. Oftentimes thousands of dollars can be lost in adding additional seconds to transactions and slowing down the transactions. Bepoz has been specifically designed for speed.

Every time some feature comes up and our team looks at a new feature and says, “Hey, can we do this feature? Should we put it in the system?” If that feature can be designed in some way that it would slow down the system, our team looks at that and says, “Nope, we’re not going to do it that way. We’re only going to do it if we can keep the speed and efficiency of the system, working fast and flawlessly.” Transaction speed is of primary importance and you can run through transactions very quickly, very easily, training at the point of sale is simple and quick. And then also, when those transactions are performed, those transactions are communicated up to the head office as fast as your little internet connection will get it there.

If you’d like to talk about how we can help you improve the speed of your point of sale system, we’d love to talk to you. You can either call the number that’s at the top of the screen or click the link below.
