Liquor Store Employee Permissions

Liquor stores don’t run themselves. You need reliable employees who you can depend on. You also need a point of sale system that helps you provide permissions for these employees. Watch the video below on permissions that Bepoz can offer.

Liquor Store Employee Permissions

You have multiple employees with different responsibilities. A cashier on their first day at work does not need to have access to the same information as a manager or assistant manager. Bepoz Point of Sale Systems lets you set permissions for each employee level so that only the employees who need to have access to certain discounts, functions, and/or reports have them. Some employees may only be able to scan items while others are able to check inventory while also scanning. There are virtually no limits to the type of permissions you can set.

Locking Down Functions

You may want to go even further than setting permissions by job title. You can lock down functions for specific employees if needed. This is generally used for new hires who are still on a probationary period. However, it can also be a useful tool if you are worried that an employee is stealing from the register or giving unwarranted discounts to friends. Locking down functions for specific employees can help to safeguard your profit. Bepoz offers an unlimited number of permission levels so you really can give each employee their own, unique permissions if needed.

Different Liquor Store Employee Permissions by Store

Do you have multiple liquor stores? You may want to set employee permissions that vary from store to store. Bepoz can do this with ease. For instance, you might have a district manager who travels from store to store. They would have permissions that grant them access to as many different stores as they cover. You might have an employee who works at different locations depending on your needs. You can set up the system to give that employee access to multiple stores according to their job description.

Hey, this is Tim with Bepoz point of sale systems for liquor stores, and in this video, we’re going to talk about employee permissions, how you can lock down what an employee can and cannot do within your organization. And it is important to know that when we’re talking about permissions, we’re really trying to take care of theft prevention and lock down what can be done. We have a whole entire other video on theft prevention if you want to see more on that, you can watch that video.

0:33 Liquor Store Employee Permissions

When we’re talking about permissions, it’s important to know with Bepoz, that you can give your employees an unlimited number of permission levels. So I could have a cashier, I could have a keyholder, an assistant manager, a manager, a regional manager, an owner, a corporate head office person, or whatever across many locations as a store manager in a multi-location environment. You could have permissions for just your store. The number of permissions and options here are amazing.

So there are permissions that really relate to point of sale and then other permissions that relate to back-office functions and inventory reporting, and products and those kinds of things. So we’ll talk about both of those.

1:19 Permission Levels

First of all, from a point of sale perspective, when I’m selling, Bepoz has the ability to lock any employee out of any function. That’s important to you because oftentimes we’re trying to secure your cash, trying to keep employees from giving away discounts that they don’t have permission to, and trying to make sure they’re doing blind drops. Again, you can reference those topics in our theft prevention video and see more detail on that.

1:51 Managerial Required Permissions

But, if I want to lock them out of those, I can make every button in Bepoz have a manager’s permission or a permission level. So a cashier can do this kind of discount but can’t do that kind of discount. It takes a manager to do that level of discount. And maybe it’s a general manager and not an assistant manager depending on the size of your organization if you’ve got different levels and permissions.

But all of the buttons and all of the functions in the point of the sale could be locked down. Now, if your smaller organizations may not have these layers but in larger organizations in the back office, I might have a manager who has access to work on inventory or to work on products, and we may want to limit which products or inventory, or which stores they can see in a multi-store environment. They could see this group of stores or these products, or they could change prices but not change barcodes, etc.

2:50 Layers Of Employee Control

Many different layers of what could be controlled so that you can have the ultimate control of who gets to do what and when.
