Bepoz Point of Sale (POS) can pre-authorize a credit card in your Casino’s bar. In this overview video below, you will learn about how the bar tab pre-auth process works.
You may be familiar with the following scenario. It’s the end of the night, customers are closing out their tabs, but there are open tabs and credit cards sitting around waiting for their owners to settle up. It’s possible the customer had such a good time, they left and forgot to pay their tab. With Bepoz Enterprise POS technology, this problem is easily solved.
Easily and automatically open a tab for a customer just by swiping their credit card. Now, should the customer forget to pay, their tab can still be closed out at the end of the night. A tab also begins using their name or identifier either entered directly from the credit card or assigned by the bar staff.
As far as PCI compliance and credit card security, the Bepoz POS technology takes care of that automatically. Credit cards are never saved in the POS; only a corresponding token is issued and saved securely. This happens seamlessly so that the bar or casino staff don’t have to handle the credit cards to pay the open tab. This is especially helpful when customers have maybe had one too many drinks and forgot to settle up at the bar.
Take a look at this video, and learn a bit more about how Bepoz can make your casino bar tab pre-authorization run more efficiently, by taking the hassle and time away from chasing down customers to close out their bar tabs. Hi, my name is Tim and I’m here with Bepoz casino point of sale systems to talk to you about bar tab pre-auth, or pre-authing credit cards automatically in a bar scenario.
So in many bars, bar operators want to be able to swipe the credit card at the beginning of the transaction of the person so that if that person forgets to pay their tab, maybe they had too much to drink or whatever, but forgets to pay their tab, I’ve got a card on file so that we can charge the card after they’ve left.
So in that case, typically the workflow is this. We want to start a new tab for some person that came in. We ask them for their credit card and we swipe their credit card on the terminal. When I swipe the credit card or insert the terminal of the credit card, of course, when I swipe or insert the credit card, it automatically starts a tab using the name that’s on the card, or not depending on how you’d like that to work. But it automatically starts a tab with the name that’s on the card and keeps that token of that card on file.
For those of you that might be concerned about PCI compliance or credit card security, we’re only keeping a token. We’re not actually storing the actual credit card number, so we’re able to do this securely.
And so, if that person forgets to pay their tab, you know, in a busy bar you might have people wandering all over the bar, and somebody just forgets and just walks out. And so we can then take that tab and close it off to the credit card on file at the end of the evening or whenever we discover that they’re no longer there.
